The Finest Timber Weatherboards and Cladding

At Ternex, we have the UK's widest selection of timber weatherboarding and cladding products from fresh sawn waney edge and feather edge oak to profiled cladding. We stock an extensive range of timber, including hardwoods and softwoods. Our craftsmen hand pick your timber and prepare it to your exact specifications.

If you need to weatherboard a barn conversion, or if you are building an office in your garden or just replacing timbers, we can meet your individual requirements. Our weatherboards and timber cladding are long lasting, weather resistant and made from quality environmentally friendly timber. Both oak and Douglas fir weatherboarding have natural properties that help achieve acoustic and thermal conductivity performance standards. Fresh Sawn timber is much easier to install than air dried or seasoned timber. Nails are far easier to knock in, and the boards are less prone to splitting.

Cladding and Weatherboard Benefits

  • Protects, insulates and is simple to mount
  • Cost effective and lasts far longer than other cladding
  • Sound reducing and insulating

Ternex fresh sawn oak feather edge weatherboards are freshly sawn from European oak logs in our own sawmill. Feather edge oak provides the ultimate timber protection in a traditional style. The boards can be cut to your requirements, and supplied when wet or green. Green oak, also called fresh sawn oak, is much easier to install than air dried or seasoned oak, and the likelihood of splitting is considerably reduced. Fresh sawn oak will provide decades of protection and if left untreated will turn their natural silver-grey colour.
